SCHOLARSHIP OVERVIEW

This is excellent news for recently graduated overseas students who are looking for a master’s scholarship after completing their undergraduate degrees. All recently graduated students may now submit an application for the University of Lausanne International Scholarship.

The sole recipients of this scholarship from Switzerland are graduates. Only ten students are given this scholarship by UNIL each year. To apply for the University of Lausanne Scholarship in Switzerland, we strongly advised you.

According to QS Global’s 2021 World Rankings, the University of Lausanne is placed 176. In terms of total rating, it receives 4.3 stars from the students. It currently has 16,000 students, of whom 14% are international. In UNIL, one in two professors hails from a country other than Switzerland.

Even while only a small number of highly qualified undergraduate students get this grant, we nonetheless encourage all students to apply.

BENEFITS OF THE LAUSANNE INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP

  • A monthly stipend of 1,600 CHF will be provided to the students who will avail of scholarships for 2 years or 1 year depending on the program chosen by the student.
  • Candidates may know beforehand that this amount is not enough to live in Switzerland.
  • Students will not be required to pay registration fees for the courses; however, CHF 80.00 is required to pay each semester.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • Applicant must have a B2 level in either English or French language.
  • To have a brilliant academic background.
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree from any foreign university.
  • Must not be registered in UNIL before.
  • To have paid the CHF 200.00 administration fee.

Required Languages: English or French

Eligible Countries: All World Countries.

Required Documents:

  • A passport-size photograph for the application form in JPEG format.
  • Transcripts of all the exams taken at the university.
  • A copy of a high school diploma must be translated into French, German, Italian, or English is required.
  • Program description copy of last semester of the bachelor’s degree, if the degree has not been obtained yet.
  • A copy of passport or identity card.
  • A cover letter.
  • A complete curriculum vitae.
  • TOEFL or IELTS for English and DALF or DELF for French is required.
  • Two letters of recommendation from student’s lecturers are required
  • Registration fee payment proof (CHF 200.00).

Required Documents for UNIL Master’s Grants:

  • A copy of your passport or identity card.
  • A cover letter.
  • A complete curriculum vitae.
  • A passport-sized photograph (in JPEG format).
  • The application form is duly completed and signed.
  • Copy of your academic qualifications and transcripts from all examinations taken at the university.
  • A copy of your secondary school diploma. A certified/notarized translation of any diplomas not written in French, German, English, or Italian is required.
  • A copy of the program description of the last semester of your bachelor’s degree, if the degree has not yet been obtained.
  • A copy of the official certificate of knowledge of the language in which the master is taught (TOEFL or IELTS for English and DALF or DELF for French). B2 is the minimum level required to follow the course.
  • Two original letters of recommendation from the candidate’s professor, in sealed envelopes.
  • Proof of payment of the CHF 200.00 administration fee (application processing fee)
