SCHOLARSHIP DESCRIPTION
Up to 200 students will enroll in the initial class, with roughly 45 percent from the United States, 20% from China, and 35% from the rest of the world. Schwarzman Scholars is the first scholarship formed to respond to the geopolitical landscape of the twenty-first century, and it is designed to prepare the next generation of global leaders.
Through a one-year Master’s Degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing – one of China’s most prominent universities – the program will provide the world’s best and brightest students with the opportunity to strengthen their leadership abilities and professional networks.
Degree Level:
Tsinghua University in Beijing China Schwarzman Scholars Program 2023/2024 is available to undertake Masters level programs at Tsinghua University.

Benefit of Schwarzman Scholars Program:
Scholarship benefits include
- tuition and fees, room and board,
- travel to and from Beijing at the beginning and end of the academic year,
- an in-country study tour,
- required course books and supplies,
- health insurance,
- and a personal stipend of $4,000.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
A first or undergraduate degree from an authorized institution or university, or its equivalent. Applicants participating in undergraduate degree programs must be on pace to complete all degree requirements by August 1 of the Schwarzman Scholars enrollment year.
There are no qualifications for a specific field of undergraduate study; all fields are welcome. However, applicants must describe how involvement in Schwarzman Scholars would help them develop their leadership potential within their field, independent of undergraduate major.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
To apply, you must complete an online application form and submit the required documents by the deadline. Applicants who hold passports from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macao can apply online from 1 January to 31 May 2019 through the China application portal.
Applicants holding a passport from any other country can apply online from April to 26 September 2019.
